Exquisite smell, aromatic taste

Vienna is considered the Mecca of coffee lovers. There are more than 800 coffee houses in the Austrian capital, including such world-famous names like Sacher, Demel and Sperl. Whoever opens a new coffee house in this environment needs a lot of enthusiasm and a convincing concept.

Helmut Tischler has successfully established a new café, the “Kaffee Plantage” or “Coffee Plantation”, in the quarter Wiener Neustadt. The former authorized signatory of WP BAKERYGROUP in Vienna certainly benefited from his insight into the baking industry, his know-how as a master baker, and, above all, his love for good coffee. He shares this with his son Nicolas Fleck, a professional barista.

Selected ingredients and plenty of time: the prerequisites for the production of baked goods and coffee, in order to obtain high-quality products in the end, are very similar. “Our coffees are all long roastings from pure highland Arabica. Dough develops its delicious taste during the long dough resting time, because the aromas have plenty of time to unfold. It’s the same with the coffee roasting. And the acid content in the beans also decreases, making the coffee more digestible,” explains Helmut Tischler, whose café has its own roastery.

Best quality and convincing concept: this combination was also successful at the iba 2018 in Munich, impressively demonstrated by the cooperation of WP BAKERYGROUP and the Kaffee Plantage. The guests at the WP trade fair stand were thus not only updated on the latest machine technology for each stage of the baking process, but also had the opportunity to enjoy exquisite coffee specialties. The trade visitors enjoyed them so much, that coffee consumption at the WP stand increased by more than 100 percent compared to the iba 2015.
